Hours
Our school day runs from 8am until 2:45pm for all grades including Kindergarteners. Morning drop-off begins at 7:45am and students must be picked up from school no later than 3pm.
Before & After-Care
Yes, beginning in the fall of 2024 we will offer Before-Care beginning at 7am and After-Care until 5pm to ease the burden for families juggling multiple school and work schedules in the Northern Virginia area.
Uniforms
SCS has chosen to utilize a Dress Code instead uniforms. We provide guidelines in our handbook so that students and families know what is expected. Overall, we encourage modest, comfortable clothing that is appropriate to the activities in which students will partake.
A la carte classes
It has been our desire from the beginning to support homeschool families and invite them into our community. In the fall of 2024, the following middle school classes can be taken individually: English (7); Competing Worldviews -Bible; Civics & Personal Finance; Health & PE; Life Science, Fundamentals in Math (7), Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, German 1. This list is subject to change and grow, so please contact us and to obtain the class schedule and pricing.
Curriculum
We pull from a variety of sources to provide our students with a learning experience that lives up to the vision we have for them.
